Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham Special Edition
Land Rover has published a tease for the Victoria Beckham Special Edition Range Rover Evoque to be revealed at the Beijing Motor Show. Only yesterday a Cars UK reader posed the question “Where’s the Victoria Beckham Special Edition Range Rover?’. We said we thought it was too early for a Special Edition Evoque, but we’d get the VB edition eventually to get some mileage out of the tie in with Mrs Goldenballs at some point.
The Lightweight Jaguar E-Type is reborn
Back in May we revealed Jaguar Land Rover’s new Heritage part of JLR’s Special Operations Division were planning to create six new Lightweight E-Types, the ‘Missing 6′ from the original production run in 1963. And now we get to see the first prototype. The new Lightweight E-Types will complete the planned run of 18 cars from 1963 – the Special GT E Project – using the remaining, unused, chassis numbers from the original run, effectively making these new E-Types able to compete in historic racing events.
Dany Bahar, Lotus boss, suspended from his job
Controversial Lotus boss Dany Bahar has been suspended from Lotus pending an enquiry in to his conduct. Since ex-Ferrari man Dany Bahar arrived at Lotus it’s all turned in to a bit of a soap opera. From announcing the creation of six new Lotus cars and plans to turn Lotus in to an East Anglian cross between Ferrari and Aston Martin, to the completely bizarre Lotus PR meltdown rant we saw recently, it’s not been quiet in Hethel since Dany Bahar arrived.
